not sure why you'd recommend someplace 220 miles south of Portland, when Forestgrove is only 35 miles west of Portland.
and Seven Feathers is a Casino's campground with not much for kids to do but use the pool there.

Stub Stewart State Park is about 10 miles from Forest Grove and the same from Portland (depending on where, specifically, in Portland you will be - this is west of Portland). Nice park, has FHU - make reservations. Might be an option........
Of you do go and like Greek food - there's a GREAT Greek restaurant in Vernonia. I don't remember the name, but Vernonia is so small, you can't miss it!
Jantzen Beach is almost on the Columbia River about 3/4 of a mile west of I-5. Easy on and off (except for rush hours). Eating and shopping in the same close area. FHU and a pool. We've stayed there 3 times as our daughter is about 5 miles away down I-5.
We used to stay at Portland/Fairview east side of Portland near I-84 until we discovered Jantzen Beach. The sites at this one were closer together plus the Union Pacific railroad passes by at the rear.

We use Portland/Fairview on the east side very clean, quite,FH,friendly park with a small pool for the children. For an in town park very nice. Have fun
if you are coming in from the south:
Champoeg State Park is within 5 miles to the west of I 5.
It is about 15 miles north of the Woodburn Factory Outlet Mall and 7 miles south of Wilsonville.
The campsites in the B loop are bigger.
I have stayed there several times because it is convnient.
Stub Stewart is better located for Forest Grove. But if you are running late Champoeg is a good spot.
Stewart State Park is another 55 miles and will take 90 minutes in traffic to get there.
Both are good.
Roamers Rest in Tualatin Oregon is a pretty nice place and is convienent to both Portland and Forest Grove. It also has decent reviews on RV Park Reviews

x2 on champoeg. But at champoeg, you'll need to be aware of rush hour traffic into portland or forest grove. But champoeg is a very nice park with good services.
stub stewart, quicker to forest grove, but this time of year may have more rain since it is in the coast range.
