Anyone try replacing the carpeting with laminate flooring? Just had our living room in the house done and we're thrilled with it so we were wondering how it would work out in the MH. Please share your experiences, good and bad. Thanks.

We did it in our previous Pace Arrow. We didn't have a slide. The one downside I noticed is that it does not absorb any sound like the carpet had done previously.

I prefer Allure Ultra to a laminate because the Allure is waterproof where laminate can't take any water....and in an rv, you just never know. We're getting ready to have the Allure Ultra installed in our motorhome.

We installed pergo throughout 90% of our house when we built it back in 1998. It is still good. Installed it also in our TT. Only places to watch out for are under the slides. some modification may be needed.

I put Pergo in my mh. Did not do the slide out or bedroom. We love it!

I helped my buddy install a Pergo type material in a Bounder with slide. It was a hard job but it looks good. That's about all I can say for it. If I get rid of my carpet I would try cork or a similar material.

I put it in my '06 Monaco Diplomat in the front of the coach that was originally covered with carpet, except for the slide itself, however. The laminate is so much easier to clean and does not look old and worn out like the carpet did. Included the stairwell also.

Wizzo442...

Did you have any issues with the slideout going over the pergo (ie clearance issues)

We are considering Laminate and some tile in our '98 Newmar
