I like them all. They are all palaces compared to the alternative tents, pop-ups etc. Not that there is anything wrong with those, they have some serious advantages, but for me, I want to travel in comfort, not "camp" like I used to when I was young. So put the kitchen anywhere, as long as the refreshing beverages are cold and nothing is breaking-down.

Absolutely, at a certain level... yes, of course! We RVers are fortunate to be enjoying life on the road regardless of floorplan design.
And then there are also times when discussing finer points of RV design is interesting, as well. :-)

We were more concerned about where the entertainment center was. Far too many coaches stick it on a back wall or up front forcing you to lay down on the sofa or crane your neck to see it. i much prefer reclining (sofa with built in recliners) and watching it straight on. We are either on the computers, watching tv or sleeping when inside.

Yes, aside from the kitchen location, we feel the same way. We're either on the computers, watching TV, (both), or sleeping as well. TO that end, we removed one of the two sofas and replaced it with two recliners, replaced the 40" TV with a 46" Sony Bravia, among other modifications we wanted to do. No floorplan is perfect, no coach is perfect. We pick the one that seems the best fit and then do what we can to make it even better! :-)

We definitely prefer the kitchen on the roadside, and that is part of the reason we like the new Monaco 43DFT so much, we think it's the best floorplan out there right now.

Trap.. Yes, it's an awesome floor plan indeed. Nice that several manufacturers are offering that floor plan now (Monaco, HR, American, etc.). I think it's become quite popular.

That Monaco floorplan does look really nice, but I would think it would be an improvement to extend those dinette windows down lower to the floor like I've seen in some coaches that have three full-height windows side-by-side. that feature opens-up the RV to the patio. The RV manufactures will probably offer more street-side kitchens as they become more comfortable with all that weight, electrical and plumbing on a slide.

Mine is on the curbside that’s the way I like it but most of the time we are eating out side. But I have seen some nice coaches with it on the street side. Just preference on what you like.

I agree with you, Never would consider a coach with the dinette looking out to my neighbors side and the sewer hook ups.
