If you're talking all the way to northern Fla, give North Beach Camp Resort in St. Augustine a look. The Atlantic Ocean is across the street on one end, and the IntraCoastal Waterway is on the other. One can walk to three good restaurants; there is good vegetation between sites for privacy; and there is plenty of history for those interested. The facilities are old but kept clean; PM me if you have specific questions. Camp on!
Check out Hilton Head Island, SC (two fine campgrounds), also look at Boyd's in Key West (not that nice but walk to the town), and there's always Disney (walk or bus to everything).
