Does anyone have a 5th wheel hitch installed on a sprayed bed liner? the rv dealer in my area said he won't install a hitch on one.
Thanks

We are on our second truck with a sprayed in liner and a hitch. Don't know what the concern is unless its the fact that conceivably the holes drilled through the liner could rust. I have never seen it happen. I'll bet if you look around you'll see a lot of them.

Yes! (1994) Line-X, I didn't like the Rhino liner as well as the Line-X. They sprayed bed, sides, and top of the bed rails. They would have done the tail gate to. But! I have a louvered gate. And every 5yrs they will re-seal.

Also had it on a previous truck. No problems.

I did it the other way around put the hitch in , then removed it and the rails so just holes in the bed , took it got it Line-X'd put rails back in ,re-torque bolts put hitch back in .

been like that for 2 1/2 years no issues at all

Line-X is the best liner without a doubt

Line-X sprayed in then had hitch installed.I cant imagine any reason the dealer would not do it that way if that is what you asked for.

I had Rhino on my last truck. Hitch dealer had no problems with the install. Good luck.

I have a RAM 2500 with factory sprayed in liner. Discount hitch does many of the RV dealer installs in this area and they said they have never had any problems installing on the sprayed in liner.

Slide-in bed liners are a no-no, as they crush down over time and loosen up. My prior truck had a slide-in, and they had to cut around the rails.

Spray-in liners aren't a problem. That's what I have in my new truck. Your dealer is misinformed, and frankly, if I got such bad information from a dealer, I'd go somewhere else to have the hitch installed. Positioning, under-bed attachments, etc are important and you need to have someone do it that understands what they are doing. I wonder about that dealer.
