Sometimes chemicals are needed to keep smell tolerable, especially in hot weather. But i agree, they dont seem to do much in the short term.

Speaking as a person with several family members in the medical professions, the fact that your solids are so solid may suggest a dietary issue.

Or the other alternative is if you are staying at an RV park, use the RV park bathrooms for #2 leaving you to be #1 in your RV...master of your domain.

I know not everyone has the option but what I try to do is wait until I get home to dump. The extra time on the road along with all the movement churns the tank allowing everything inside to break down a little more. No issues with clogs.
