Welcome to RV.net Chris. There may not be many on the forum that have had 5 different MHs, from different manufactures. You may want to ask what people think are the 5 best manufactures, but this will just personal opinions, mostly.

we started with a 1985 Winnebago. keept it for 14-seasons. when it was time to replace it we went with another Winnebago (Itasca). we've had that for 12-seasons. when it comes time to replace it we'll be in another new Winnebago. 'nuf said.

We've had a '99 Ultimate Freedom by Winnebago, a '96 Discovery by Fleetwood, and a '73 GMC by General Motors and would rate them best to worst in that order. Incidentally, that is also the new cost order most to least expensive; funny how that works out, isn't it?

Here's what we had:

19' Fleetwood Flair...Class C..lots of room considering. Nice bath. Didn't hold up well. Had a sign on the back that said, "Honk, if you see parts fall off"..
24' Pace Arrow.. Class A ..nice coach..lots of sleeping space. Dbl pull down bed over the driver/pass seats. Lots of mileage out of that one. Finally gave it to the Salvation Army.
27' Winnebago Chieftain...Class A Towed cars, trailers etc everywhere. 454 Chevy..good engine after putting headers and 3" exhaust on. Small bathroom.
40' Gulfstream...First Diesel. Very nice coach..lots of room. Kinda "foofoo" interior like a Prevost...huge bathroom, separate room incl shower toilet and sink. Someone else liked it to cuz it was stolen from a storage lot.
40' Monaco Dynasty...awesome coach. No slides. Build quality was top notch. Ran forever, put 110,000 miles on it with only one small mech problem. (blew hydraulic hose) Fit and finish was one of the best we've seen.
45' Executive...four slides, 525HP diesel, solid wood, (oak) interior, build quality is fantastic. Haven't found any issues yet. Only owned it almost three years. That said, here's my list.....YMMV..Dennis

5. Monaco/Navistar
4. Country Coach/Prevost Conversion
3. Marathon/Prevost Conversion
2. Elemment Pelazzo

And the TOP DOG:
