I'm approaching 10 years as a member of RV.Net

I've had 4 different tow vehicles and 3 trailers in that time.

I've learned a lot and hopefully the knowledge I've shared has helped some folks.

This place just isn't what it used to be though. Too many trolls and dumbasses these days.

Its become difficult to have a civil discussion. Topics turn into a pissing match at the drop of a hat.

I'm not sure its worth my time anymore.

I may be back, but I kind of doubt it.

Good luck fellas.

Like anything else in life, this forum isn't perfect, but still ranks IMHO, as the best online forum for the RV enthusiast. Hopefully, once you get some time away, you will come back and participate as your knowledge of RVing will no doubt be a valuable asset to the forum. I never let what others think or do bother or influence what I know works for my situation. I just read past those type of comments and continue to enjoy the forum for what it really is, a community who strives (for the most part) to assist and inform in hopes of making the RV experience more enjoyable for all.

If you look through my post history, you will find that I frequent the "tow vehicles" section the most. I believe this is the section that gets the most heated discussions, and thus many unprofessional posts which must be taken with a grain of salt. Perhaps you could start blocking users that tend to perpetuate this unprofessional-ism. That way you can continue to help others gain knowledge who are genuinely seeking it, and perhaps, even as a veteran, still gain some valuable knowledge.

I challenge you to find a forum that is as mild as this one. Anyway, good luck to you and take care.

x2

What seems like fights on here are mearly family disagreements compared to other forums that don't have mods or users that care about the forum and the passion of our hobby.

Thanks

Jeremiah

I learned a long time ago when I was a correctional officer in a state prison (correctional institution, if you want to be politically correct), as I walked down the tier with 96 smiling faces barking at me, what to ignore and what to listen to.

That ability has come in handy on this forum and, more so,on others. I think some of the participants were past acquaintances of mine.
