Anyone know where I could find a digital map of Va. or other states?

I am looking for something like Google Earth that could be downloaded.

Use Google Earth, download or print. What more do you need?

Google Earth requires an internet connection to do its thing.

Just do a Google search and you'll have all the maps you want.

Actually, the Virginia Department of Transportation has some great resources at http://virginiadot.org/travel/default.asp.

Have you tried Microsoft Streets & Trips? Not very expensive, has a lot of POIs, is great for trip planning & you can get it with or without a GPS puck.

I’ve been using it for over 15 years and get better quality printed maps with more detail from it than I can from Google. Yes, there are some errors in it but I have not seen or heard of any map (paper or digital) that didn't have some errors.
