Gee.. any show recorded on either of my DVR's can be watched on either DVR or any of the computers in the house.. No special hardware needed (Save the router and the standard Wi-Fi thing on the computers)

The 2 reviews for this X10 don't look promising. Doesn't IR mean line-of-sight?

It's interesting, but I think a better overall solution is something like a Slingbox or Vulkano. They'll let you stream video to anywhere on many devices (computer, tablet, phone etc).

They're generally a bit more expensive, but you don't have to be in the same zip code, state or country to use them. They also allow full control of the receiver. You can set the receiver to record or watch a recording as well as watching live TV.

As my original post said, my only laptop is from work and I cannot download slingbox. Someday I may have it though. Slingbox seems like a great product!

(I am the original poster of this thread)
Today, I am cleaning out my garage and I have my Home Roam receiver connected to my 13 inch tv. I am watching the Sixers playing Knicks on NBA TV wirelessly! The other connection is hooked into my cable box in the upstairs bedroom. My garage is detatched so I would guess the two connections are at least 80 feet apart. I love it!

I showed a couple of my friends this today. I think one of them is going to buy one. I will use it whenever I "driveway camp".
