In the medium duty engine, the DPF only last 200,000 to 400,000 miles.
Another side note...
ISB in medium duty takes 4 gallons of oil.
Unlike the sissy version sold for Dodge.
As far as I am aware, the 6.7 installed in Dodge pickups is already classified as a medium duty engine. The sissy versions of Duramax and Powerstroke are classified as light duty.

Isn't the sissy version in the Ram also in the sissy F650 and F750? And several pieces of agricultural, power generation, and mining equipment? And don't the Powerstroke and Duramax also use DPFs?

You don't see the sissy versions of the Powerstroke or the Duramax in any other application, outside of what they are already in.

Does it count as a job when the person in question is also a PHD currently working at a highly respected research university toward yet another advanced degree?
Just sayin...

Letters after your name are all well and good but don't necessarily prove anything in the real world. I've known PHD's that are hard pressed to figure out how to change a light bulb.

If trolling on RV.net will qualify at a "highly respected research university toward an advanced degree" then this place is chock full of geniuses. I'm going to head out to the picture frame store as I've got some doctoral diplomas to hang on the wall.

ROTFLMAO, with your 10,000 RPM turbo remark I knew it was not in internal combustion engineering.

Yet, somehow, he can't communicate a coherent sentence, post a link or spell you're name correctly.
Yeah...a real Einstein.
Say the title of this thread out loud one time?
The path to internet posting is hard you walk.

Remember; many, many, many very respected PHD's with advanced degree's working for Bosch caused all of the pump problems that caused all of your financial loss with your truck.
Harland and Woloff had many, many, many PHD design engineers work on a ship they built around 1900.
Thomas Andrews was the man...........aaaaa.......errrrrrr..........until he was killed on the ship he designed when it hit a chunk of frozen H2O in the midle of the Atlantic.
So to answer your question. No, I'm not impressed.
I do find it ironic that metallurgy caused the sinking of a beautiful ship "might" cause the sinking of a new beautiful engine.
All because of some PHD "thinking" they knew what they were talking about.......but didn't. Ironic indeed.
