its not the wieght so much as the wind resistance that affects milage. the shape of the camper nose and the speed you pull it all affect wind resistance. the shape you cant alter but your speed you can. SLOW DOWN= better milage.

a Titan has a 5.6L v-8 engine, not a v-6!
i actually didn't know that the newer Tundras could come with a v-6.

i looked the specs for the 4.0 v-6 Double Cab and it said that the tow max is only 4500lbs. with the factory tow package.
so, you're over your tow max unless you have some more info. and worse if it doesn't have the tow package.

to the OP, you don't state whether that's the "dry" weight or actual factory sticker weight.

What I find ironic is that the little 4.0 V6 in the Tundra has more HP and only slightly less torque than my 97 5.4. The Tundra has a 4.10 rear end on the V6 and my truck has 3:55 rear end.

Yet my tow rating is almost 4k lbs more.

Makes no sense to me.

Thanks

Jerem
