I don't want any car that can control the steering wheel period. I know computers glitch, and don't want to be driveing down the road when it tries to park itself.

Many of the comments on here are the same thing people said about speed control, anti lock brakes and air bags when the first came out.

Yessir, you are absolutely right!
While I have changed my mind about cruise control, and now actually use it occasionally, I still detest ABS and air bags.
In fact, the ABS system in the truck was disabled when I bought it, and I left it alone. I like it that way. If I could disconnect/remove the air bags, I would!
Computers and insurance companies are taking over the world
No, I don't like it.

Ditto and another ditto to Mower's comments

ABS is NOT a good thing IMHO. Good for those who don't know HOW2 drive
at the high end and that then allows those who have no clue nor business
driving at the high end...to drive at the high end

Not just speed, but on the twisties and in adverse conditions.

Best example of that is my sister and her husband. 4 Mercedes and the
new ones has 4omatic 'cuz they have a house in Yosemite.

They used to take their time getting there during the winter and now
with this marvelous transmission (don't get me going on the headache
trying to explain to them how it works and has a transfer case) married
with ABS for traction control.

Now they have gotten stuck way worse than the ever have and I will NOT
ride with them, as they drive too fast because 'it is a Mercedes with
4omatic traction control'...

Anyway, can say the Toyota automatic wiper control is horrible. It
comes on when you don't want/need it and most times won't come on fast
enough when you need it....HOW HARD IS IT TO JUST REACH AND TURN THE DANG
thing on !!!!!

lol
Yup, it's all about "creature comforts" and automatic magic stuff.

You sister and brother in law are the ones passing everyone with their fancy SUV's with all the fancy auto traction controls etc, all is fine till they hit a patch of ice. They'll learn, (if they survive that first accident)....
