Does anyone know of a free program that will reliably open .eps files with Windows. I use Irfanview with all the current plugins and it seems to be hit or miss. ADL Uncompressor looks promising but I know nothing about them. Any help?
It's an encapsulated postscript file. Used to deal with these quite a bit before PDF became the popular submission format for pre-press and for digital printing. Most PDF readers today can open these files. If you need to edit the file, then you'll need a vector drawing program similar to Adobe Illustrator, or the free open source Inkscape.
