It's funny, even though I've been retired for years, I continue to look forward to the weekends; just something about it.

Could it be because the Packers are playing?

Now the NFL is finally going after New Orleans for injuring Favre in the game with the Vikings. Where is OUR SUPERBOWL WIN for that year? I don't think they will give it to us like in bicycle racing.

I still am affected by calendar as business still has to be done on weekdays. But I find I do forget about holidays... Presidents' day.. stuff like that.

When I retired, I had to keep a calender with me 24/7 and write done each appointment/meeting. I also had to buy a watch that told the day/date on it because I couldn't things lined up in my brain -- everday was part of my weekend and everyone else was locked in the the SMTWTF thing. Lately the demands for my time are much less (my friends all thought that "Bob is retired -- he has plenty of time to do this/that for me"). Now many of them are retired so they have the time to do their own thing.

Life great when every day is Saturday.

I get a kick outta' when Frau Blücher forgets what day it is,then i get to remind her that her shades are on top of her head,,and she's a brunette to boot!!!!

We are all in deep do-do. When a doctor examines you for dementia/alzheimers/senility one of the questions they ask is "What day is it" What year is it?"

The other day I kept walking to the mailbox and coming back to the patio area. After about three trips the wife hollers out to me "You know today is Sunday don't you" Sure doesnt take long to forget the days of the week when you are retired.
