We are still waiting to pick up our Roo 183L in Orlando- hopefully by mid April. However, every now and then I get this feeling that we are doing something unsafe for our family. And it makes me sick deep down in my stomach. I am so afraid we'll have an accident while pulling the camper!!! Am I just being ridiculous? Obviously we could die on the way to Wal Mart if it's our time to go. And we're just trying to spend quality time with our kids. But how terrible would it be if in trying to spend that quality time, we create a disaster? Ok, call me Debbie Downer, but I could use some words of advice and encouragement!

As long as your tow vehicle has the proper capacity for towing, and you have a good brake controller and WDH you will be just fine! Camping is a GREAT way to enjoy family time!

As long as everything is hooked up properly (and you are not overloaded) you have nothing to worry about.

We have already run all the numbers millions of times and are within our weight, tow capacity, payload, etc. So it's not that that I'm worried about. And we are getting a 4 point Equalizer and a Prodigy break controller. I guess it's really that a few years ago I saw a camper involved in an accident and the son in the TV got killed. And it was messy, I might add... Now, I think I remember their TV not being adequate, and the son wasn't buckled up, but it still kind of haunts me... I keep trying to remind myself that God is ultimately in control of life and death. I swear I am not generally a worry wart- I PROMISE!

If you have run the numbers and all is well I think you will be fine and the more you go the less you will worry. HAPPY CAMPING. will

Maybe that's what it is. Neither one of us has towed something so long. (DH has towed a trailer with about 20 kayaks on it, but that was years ago.) I think I'm just worrying myself sick about it. Crazy! Maybe we should look into some sort of towing class. I'm sure that would make me feel much better about it all!

It'll go away after a couple trips. I was nervous the first few times out, it goes away with experience.

Once you get the new rig have the dealer set it all up for you and have him go on a test run with you. Then when you get it home go for a couple of dry runs just to get comfortable with towing and how it handles. The more you drive the better you will feel. I think you are already taking a cautious approach and will not be taking chances. Just take it easy and don't think you have to keep up with all the traffic, there will be lots of time to get there. You will do just fine. Now, go enjoy.

You can cross the street tomorrow morning and get hit by a car.
You can't live with "what if".
As everyone said: If you have the vehicle to pull that camper..... if you have a brake system...... if you have the equalizer, you won't feel that camper behind your vehicle.
You don't want to lock yourself in your bedroom or your kids in their bedrooms in fear of something that might happen !!!!
Enjoy life to the fullest and have fun.
Here's a saying that's always been with me:
Yesterday is History
Tomorrow is Mystery
Today is a GIFT...that's why it's call the PRESENT
Have fun and HAPPY CAMPING
