A side aisle was one of the items on our "DP wish list" when we starting shopping around. We have the side aisle in our Dutch Star 3872 floor plan and really like it.

We have a side aisle bath and front kitchen. We do not like the split baths...as a friend says, "you walk in and you can see all the way to the back wall, it looks like a bowling alley."

mtrumpet, you nailed it with the 2002 Newmar Dutch Star DP 3872, 1 thing though, I could only find 1 for sale after doing a national web search, it seams no one wants to let this model go, let me know if your selling yours, kidding

Thanks! The nice thing about our side aisle floor plan is that it gives us a full enclosed bath (including tub), just like home. We too did not care for the split bath (we had a split bath in our previous gasser). This floor plan was exactly what we were looking for. Since we were looking to buy used, we feel very lucky to have found this unit. Of course, we didn't tell that to the dealer when negotiating the price -it was more like, "well, it's ok I guess".

Try Thor Mandalay 40e Side Isle King bed. We have owned ours for 3 years now and love it. They quit making Mandalay's in 2010, but some talk they will added back to their line up in 2013. We will look for same floor plan if and when we buy again.

Thanks,

The Monaco Knight and Diplomat from 2007 on, had in my opinion the almost perfect side aisle floorplan. The SKT layout was one of the only ones that provided nearly full access (only one small cabinet could not be accessed) with the slides retracted. The coach was fully usable without putting out the slides.

Here is a link to the Monaco Brochure Archive, this is the Brochure that features the SKT floorplan.

Mountain Traveler, yes my DW couldn't agree more with you on the "tube" feel, could you tell me what year your fleetwood is so I could goggle it, I learn more by just looking at what the smarter than me drive, unless you just by luck walked in to the dealer and found the rig your driving now, but more than not, you did your homework like me, listened to others, looked at a lot of floor plans, put your boots on the ground and walked the lot to find the perfect for you rig, and thanks again everyone, Lyman and Kelly

Ours is a 97. We just lucked into it. Bought it off craigslist. Walked in and loved the floor plan and the mountain cabin decor on the fabric. Changed my mine from wanting the 5er to getting the coach. I love it. BTW don't thing the Discovery changed this floor plan till well into the 20?? something. Lots of them out there with this floor plan.
