We've had both. I would gladly swap the power awning on our TT for a manual awning.

It would not be a factor in deciding on a trailer but FWIW I liked the manual we used to have. Way more adjustable and more wind tolerant. I do like the power unit for the ease of use. We roll it in most nights and out in the AM or when leaving the CG for extended times.
