I would like to know how one copies an internet address (say of a photo or story) and then when you go to paste it in your message you can rename it? For example, you find something on the internet that you want to refer readers to. The internet address is something like 60 letters, but you want to rename it and include it in your message to something short like "Click Here". How do you do that?

Quote me to see the syntax.
You can quote any post to see how it's done.

Click on "advanced post form". Then you will see a little icon with a chain link. Click on that and it will open a form with two blocks to fill in. The first is for the URL (i.e. the address of the link for that web site). The second will be "text you want to be clickable".
You can copy and paste the long URL in the first box. Then put anything you want in the second.

http://tinyurl.com/ allows you to custom alias part of the url (if not previously taken) it is easy and quick. Just copy the entire url and go to tinyurl, paste the long addy and choose custom alias (e.g. "myphotos", or "trailertips") to include in the shortened tinyurl output.
try it once. You will want to keep a shortcut to tinyurl on desktop or startbar.

This tutorial will show you how to use the forum's link tool.
This thread, Using the message toolbar and 4UMS code, which is a sticky at the top of Forum Technical Support, has tutorials for all of the message windows tools.
