Sounds like it COULD be about the right tow rating but to get the definitive answer to what your tow rating is I'd suggest you spend some time reading your owners manual. It should give you exactly what your truck is rated to tow (probably under the warranty information section). I would be a little surprised if it doesn't have a higher rating than that though. Most half tones tow more than that these days.
Good luck and congratulations on the truck / Skip

Your GVWR is 9500Lb. The GCWR is 16000lb and the truck weighs 6300lb if its a 4x4 or 6000lb if its a 4x2. So you are talking about 9700 or 10000lb minus the weight of passenger and gear in the truck in hitch. I would say limit your GVWR of the trailer to about 9000lbs or less.

That sounds about right. The tow rating jumps to 13k+ with the 4:10 axle gasser.

I tow a 10k lb 5th wheel with no problems. 2011 2500hd, CC, 4x4, 6.0, 3.73s, 20" wheels.

I'm pretty sure the manual says 13000lbs if it's a 5th, 10k if a it's a trailer. The manual for the 2011 is here: http://www.silveradosierra.com/download/chevrolet/silverado/owners_manual/2011_chevrolet_silverado_owners.pdf

That's in the right ball park. Chevy's 2012 trailering guide shows 9600 to 10200 pounds maximum trailer weight for a 2500HD 6.0 with 3.73 axle, which gets a 16,000 pound GCWR (another 4500 pounds for the 4.10 axle).

9800 maximum trailer weight for your box/cab combination. Subject to reduction by what is loaded in the truck, and sometimes installed equipment.
