As said, the truck's payload capacity is the primary issue and the only way to really determine that is to fill the tank, put the hitch in the bed and go to the scales. Then you can simply subtract your actual weight, including driver and passengers, from the vehicle GVWR. My 10,000# GVWR Chevy, with a 3,000+ advertised payload, has a useful payload of 2,160# after deducting the true weight of the vehicle including the minimum necessities of fuel, hitch & driver.
If you look at the spring pack compared you will see the F350 is a better deal. When I bought my F250 my old truck was broke down and I was needing a truck immediately, so ended up with the F250. I finally put air bags on and now the truck handles my trailer fine, just disappointed not having the F350.

I also have a F250, 2011, CC, Diesel, Longbed and it is rated to tow a 5er of 16,500 lbs and a GCWR of 23,200 lbs, it would seem that yours should be about the same. Truck weigh is 7,600 lbs ready to go but you must add the pin weigh and as the truck is rated for 10,000 lbs you will have a problem with that and you must look at rear axle weight you may have a problem with that as well. If the full truck and pin weight are at 10,000, yours may be higher and that will be a problem. Even if it is 10,000 lbs that leaves you with a fiver limit of 13,200. If this is your first 5er they all pull much better than a TT and I think that is what you felt on your way home.
Now I think you will be over weight and you should look for a 5er that weighs less.
The one I pull is a 31 foot 2012 Forest River V-Cross with a 9,900 limit and to tell you the truth I would not want to pull much more. Many tell me I should not feel that I an towing a 9,900 5er which is not true I feel the trailer back there. I would not go by the weight ratings provided by Ford, they are to high.
I have been towing 5ers for 12 years and you will have people tell you it is ok and say that I don't know what I am talking about.
just make sure you weigh everything. Then by following the numbers you will know for sure. I had a 2010 F250 CC LB 4x4 and it only had a 1920lb. payload! the 15000 lb 5er was too much for the RAWR and GCWR. The 350 then had the same GCWR, so that didn't help, and not enough payload. So we ended up with a F350 dually.....great truck and no problems now. The 250 with airbags really towed and stopped fine, just felt we were too heavy for the rear end and we hadn't added the washer or genny yet!
Sounds like the 2011's have a bit more payload. Keep things light and you will probably be fine. The power is not a problem at all.

Not understanding the folks talking about the spring pack. That is only one of the components impacted by weight. The first and most sensitive being the tires. A few have already said it... op to be sure, you need to scale the truck and do the math. Your 2011 is a beast and will handle the rig fine but at least you will know whether you are over or not.

The F250 and F350 come with the same E rated tires. The only difference between the two trucks (SRW) is the spring pack and spring block.
My pin was 1820, on a 9900 trailer (10900 max), loaded for a trip with the family, dog, etc, I was actually about 400 over on the cargo. I would not want to pull anything heavier.
