Well, went out and did it. Traded my 2008 Tahoe for the F150 with ecoboost. I've had it for a week now and am commuting back and forth to work and around town. Next month will be my 1st towing adventure with it as I tow my HTT to Ortona Locks campground. The trip will take about an hour to make on back roads so I'll see how she handles. My HTT's dry weight is 3141 lbs so I see no issues in towing it. I've read other posts about towing experiences and am confident on the same great results.

Congrats on the new truck! While I am sure your Tahoe pulled the TT well, the new truck will be noticeably better from power to handling with the longer wheelbase. Enjoy!

Well, you know what they say about opinions, they are like --------, everybody has one. Many elect to keep them to themselves, while others just can't wait to voice them.

Over kill for your application...you will love it.
I researched/test drove one and really liked it.
Someone mentioned "EB haters" here on the Forum. I think it's the other way around..Seems like the EB has taken on super status here.
If I didn't already have a great truck that I like and that is paid for, I'd put the Ecoboost on my short list.

Can the TV commercials regarding the EB be true? Aren't they promising a pretty high tow rating? What can they really do?

Congrats on the new truck. I joined the EB club 4 mos ago and although I have not had the chance to tow with it it (driving me crazy waiting). So far I absolutely love this truck. My real world mileage is coming in at 17 mpg around town and 21.7 hwy with cruise set on 74. I realize I have the first year truck for this motor & it may develop issues tomorrow but in my opinion (so far anyway) Ford has built theeee 1/2 truck.
