I may look at a 1996 Lance lite Squire 185 8' 6" model and would appreciate any thoughts on what to look for regarding Lance brand. Previously owned a 1995 Shadow cruiser and a 04 Palomino Maverick. Other than looking for any leaks, water stains, wrinkles,or dry rot anything else brand specific would be helpful.. Thanks.
Nothing unusual that i know of Bill . At this point, you know what to look for, you're no rookie . Good luck buddy , hope it works out . Hope you're feeling a little better .
Looked at the add but no pic's,intrested as that is the same camper I have except mines a 95 in great condition and I paid 3K a few yrs ago.Love the light weight, but it is for mild weather only.
You might have a little wiggle room in the $$ .
Off the top of my head i was thinking $1200 - $1800. depending on condition . The age of it is a minus and how it was stored could be a plus. If its been undercover all its life , then it might be worth a little more. Something that old ,sitting under the uv all its life , might be problems. Inspect that cabover window seal and all the caulk at clearance lights. Remember to check all low points where water will collect , by the city water hookup, where the wood is horizontal. Use a flashlight and your nose inside those cabinets !!!!
Hey Bob...Thanks for reply..nice pic of your Lance. I have my 2011 Travel trailer up for sale if it sells DW says we can buy a new TC...love the new 850,s!!!Might pick up a cheap TC in good shape for now. The neck has not responded well after 2 surgeries so not sure if I can handle all the up keep of a 31 foot Travel trailer??Are you planning any trips this season in upstate new york? Best regards.
