I have had wheel and tire issues (both made in China) so I"m
going to upgrade to 17.5" wheels/tires. I have looked at Rickson Wheel but they have a limited selection of wheel. I might end up buying from them but wanted to at least look around. My criteria is a
non-China made wheel and tire. USA would be my first choice but others will be ok, just not anymore China stuff.

Ideas?

Dicks Auto parts in Goshen Indiana has a great price on wheels. He has the 8x6 1/2 I need for my Jayco.

wandering, I was hoping for ideas on where to buy non-China made wheels and tires for my fiver. I'm heavy and my RV came stock with wheels and tires I have had nothing but problems with including a wheel crack or split.

I'm on their website now, none of them say where they are made. I wish they would include that kind of information. I have called a couple of places and they get irked because I ask them where they are made. Why is that so hard to understand? I do not want China made wheels/tires. Am I off base here?

The wheels I bought several years ago were from Rickson (17.5" to replace the 16's I had). The wheels were foreign made, possibly Poland, and Rickson drilled the holes , balanced and installed Continental HR's on them. I'm sorry I left them on the old rig when I bougth this new one, still has 16's. In a short time, I will replace them with 17.5's again, probably from Rickson.

This country code list is dated, but it may be of some value.

This is the wheel I went with link, they are made in China but I know of no one that has had any trouble with them. It's the same wheel that many of the high end trailer manufactures are using. I went with Sumitomo ST 727 tires that are made in Japan. Trailer Wheel & tire will even mount and balance the tires and send them to you.
