I would like to get some opinion's on where i should add my 2nd AC..
i have 2 vents that are free one in the hall near bathroom door and the other in bedroom.. also have a Fan-Tastic Ceiling Fan/Vent by the stove/dinette booth.. should i remove the fan tastic fan and put it in the hall and add the AC in the Kitchen so i can get the most ac in the living room? (thats where we will be in the hottest part of the day) or should i put the AC in the hall? i really dont wanna put it in the bedroom. (its such a small area)
Thanks for your Opinion!

Survey the roof... The larger footprint of the a/c unit might preclude placement in certain places due to inteference with vents, antennas, etc...
The one closest to the wall that is used to route wiring...might make it easier to fish power up to the unit.

My 5Ver had a vent in the hallway that was labeled for additional air conditioner on a very small label. I was all wired once the vent was removed.

Just a thought! Your current AC is in the living area? We usually run the living room AC at night when we are in the bedroom and the bedroom AC during the day when we are in the living room. This is due to the noise from the AC. Two ACs running in the living room would drive me out of the motorhome!!! Maybe your current AC is tired and ready for replacement!!!

I would put the AC in the bedroom. let it cool down and then shut it off while sleeping letting the front cool the rig.

Going back always. One of the openings is probable pre-wired for an A/C unit. That is where you would put it. If possible, living room and bedroom. Keep the fantastic fan where you can get some nice flow-through on those days that don't require a/c, but are cool enough to keep the RV comfortable. Mine is LR/BR and fan near kitchen area.

Also, keep in mind that if your '88 motorhome is 30 amp, you can probably only run one air at a time.
And, I also vote for the bedroom for the new location just for balance.

I have Seen lots of guys on here say they have 2 AC's on 30amps.. but if i have to i will change to 50amp.
The only thing i will have running with both AC's are on is the TV.
I will give it a try on 30amps in hopes that will work for both ac's ..
