Why do professional Tennis players have to carry a GIANT bag full of 'Who knows what' about 30 ft. from the dressing room out to the court? It seems like two rackets, 3 balls & a towel would be enough. Couldn't they give some poor kid a job carrying that GIANT bag for em?
Do U all have any "Crazy Sports Traditions" u can't figure out?

I don't golf, I tried but I just can't hit the ball with any consistency. But what I noticed is:
Everybody has a nice golf bag with a fancy cover for each of their clubs to I guess protect them? But then the remove the fancy little clever cover and swing it at the ball and unearth a shovel full of dirt with them.
I don't see ditch diggers with fancy little covers over their shovels.

I've played golf since I was a teenager (with little improvement). I've never understood the covers for the irons other than cutting down on the noise as they bounce around on the golf cart. Covers on the woods were always there to keep from being damaged by the irons in the bag - when the woods were actually made out of wood. That ship sailed 20-30 years ago. Now the woods are made of metal and painted, so chipping the paint is possible without covers.
And all golfers know that if your driver is missing a chip of paint, it takes 20 yards off your drives.

Retired and visiting as much of this beautiful country as I can.

Why to baseball managers have to wear a uniform? Coaches in every other sport I watch wear regular clothes.

Is it some kind of rule that says if you're a sports team and you're flying to a game, you have to wear an Ipod or something with headphones when you leave the plane?

I mean really guys. You look like total idiots wearing a suit and almost everyone of you wearing headphones or ear buds.

NO. It does not look cool guys.

All players must be in uniform on the field and the manager enters the field during the game.

But only during a time out. More likely, a holdover from when baseball first started and the managers actually played. As often happens, "200 years of tradition, unhampered by progress."
I was sitting in front of a couple of girls at a game once. From their conversation, they were obviously British, but they knew the rules - until the 7th inning stretch. That one ain't in the rule book.

They don't! In eight years managing the Red Sox, I do not recall EVER seeing Terry Francona in uniform.
