Interesting, but I had a Ram Charger in the 80s and I think the whole thing was made in Mexico. Every part that came off seemed to say made in Mexico. Maybe they don't consider that a separate country anymore. LOL.

In the mid '00s detnews.com had a article that showed 1/2 ton 3/4 ton and one ton trucks percentage of parts made in the USA at;
Toyota trucks....... 76 percent
Nissan trucks...... 47 percent
Dodge trucks....... 93.7 percent
GM trucks.......... 89.8 percent
Ford truck......... 91.3 percent
final assembly plants were in MX/CA and the USA.

Im confused. My Tundra's door jam says 83% made in U.S. - Final assembly in San Antonio, TX. If those numbers are averages (and Im assuming they are) in the above list, is every truck gonna read a little different as to where it was made?

The badge on mine says Ford. That tells me all I really need to know. I am not going to sweat the details.
