I use Howe's Lubricator in my fuel and in the winter I double dose it for cold weather.

I havent and wont ever use Bio Diesel as fuel or as a lubricant in my fuel.

I can detect a difference in performance..I think.
Not much around our area but it seems to be everywhere. It is 10% bio out here not 5% that we've seen so far.
We use the Cat additive, when we can find it but it expensive and still not as good as the bio.
Bio swells and deteriorates, the seals and rubber lines etc so I'm leary of running too much in older motors.
Good old LSD was the best thing going for our motor.

SECOND here on the Howe's. Expensive, but good stuff.

Just a word of warning about biodiesel. The inspection standards are good but there's a lot of smaller producers that don't meet the standards. Glycerine is the most problematic. It only takes a few parts per thousand to "gum up" a fuel system in cold weather.
An entire district north of here decided to become "green" and started using 5% biodiesel. FIrst day the temp dropped into single digits not one of over 40 bus and/or diesel trucks would start. School was closed down for a week while the entire fuel systems had to be pulled and cleaned of the gunk. Simply heating them up didn't work.
IIRC they figure it cost them around $2000 a vehicle to get them up and running again.
So if you're down south where the temps don't drop that far biodiesel may be a good choice, but up here in the great white snowbelt it sure isn't.

I would use it again if I could find it. Put 1/2 tank in about 4 years ago at FlyingJ and engine ran quieter and smoother. I haven't seen it since. I use Power Service additive from Walmart.

For motor homes that sets a lot, Bio in the tank Will set mold and bacteria in system.

I've used several tanks of B-5 and just checked my log book and it's been 21,000 miles since I changed fuel filters and nothing is in the sight bowl and the power is still up so the B-5 didn't cause any problems with this old MH.
I did notice the engine idling smoother and ran smoother too.

As far as OptiLube XPD goes, Check the MSDS and you will find out that it is 90% solvents. How can solvents be Lube?
I suspect that test was paid for by OptiLube.
