We expect to reach Santa Fe area 2nd or 3rd week of May, and also interested. Water and electric (30 amp) work 4 us. Cable & Wi-Fi nice, but not necessary.
I live near the KOA on the East side of Albuquerque. They seem to stay pretty busy but I don't know anything about them. If you want really good food but not much atmosphere (it's sort of a hole in the wall) go to La Salita. It's located on Eubank. Take Eubank to the North from I40. It is located on the west side of the street between Lomas and Constitution. Best New Mexican food I've had and I was born in Albuquerque many, many years ago. They are open for lunch Tuesday thru Friday and dinner Tuesday thru Saturday. Closed Sun and Mon.
I can't help with Santa Fe campgrounds but there are lots of good places to eat. Probably the most famous is the La Fonda hotel dining room. Nice atmosphere and good food. They are located on the Plaza in Santa Fe.
Enjoy your trip to The Land of Enchantment.

I would recommend American RV Park just West of Albuquerque. We have used the park. If you want to go down town, leave the camp ground and go East on Central Ave. It will being you into Old Town.
The small resturants (MOM & Pop)are the best. Padillas, off of Gibson on Girard is quite good.
I can highly recommend High Desert RV Park in Albuquerque. We stayed there for a month in Jan/Feb. Very nice folks running it. The full timers there were all nice folks. Clean and well run.
We stayed at Santa Fe Skies two nights a couple years ago. It was OK, nothing special in my opinion. But it is ok for a few nights stay to tour the area.
Another vote for High Desert RV Park in Albuqueque. It's not (at all) fancy, but it's clean, well-priced, well-run and convenient to town. You can pay more for other parks in the area, but frankly I don't think you get alot more for the $$ & High Desert offers a good all-around deal.
If you're interested I've got pics of the place HERE
