Don't have it yet for three more weeks but we put a deposit down on an Australian Shepard that we're going to take with us in our RV. It's a standard sized one. I'll get it on the day I retire.

We're considering Ace, Ozzie or Corker right now. It's a male diffuse tricolor whatever diffuse means. It's gray and white, right now with blue eyes but the eye color could change.

Diffused color is also called merle or merled - one color sort of blends into the next - kinda blotchy. Very pretty. It is not unusual for Aussies to have blue eyes or even 1 blue and 1 brown. They are wonderful temperament, loving, trainable and intelligent dogs. Since they are herders, they are active dogs and may be protective of their family. They need a fair amount of exercise and a "job" to be happy. Congratulations!!

Yay for aussies! We had to put down our 10 yr old blue Merle girl last year. Gray and white blotchy is called blue Merle. We now have jj, a 2 yr old red tri. Enjoy harnessing the energy!

Yes high energy dog you are getting. We have a border collie and make it work full time in our trailer. Close relation to Aussie. Have fun with the new pup.

Huh ....Quite the first post
To the OP....congrats, you'll have a blast with you puppy, and you find out what hard work is really like, with all the training and walks and such.....you may decide to un-retire...
Only kidding!
Already sounds like a beautiful dog. Don't forget the pictures!!

That's part of my plan. I'll be out taking the dog for a couple of walks every day. I don't want to slide into inactivity when I retire and I suspect this pup won't let that happen....heh
