Rockwood is fully enclosed on the larger models but some smaller ones are not.

My 2005 Jayco is enclosed. I believe it was an option back then and may still be an option today. Maybe the dealers where you have been looking order the non enclosed option to keep the price down.

Our outdoors RV Creekside is fully enclosed and heated even the valves are enclosed.

Our trailer is enclosed underneath. It was an option and is definitely nice during the early Spring and late Fall! It also helps keep the mice out.

My Keystone Cougar has a completely enclosed underside. It also has warm air from the furnace ducted down there.
