I am curious if anyone is towing a 2006 Toyota Tundra with 4WD / four down - Remco's website list this vehicle as being ok to tow four down, but Toyota's Owners Manual indicates that damage could occur!!! Any advice would be helpful.
I would believe Toyota over Remco, as they made the Tundra. Remco may mean with a transmission pump installed that you purchase from them. Contact Remco and ask what them mean?

If you don't own the Tundra yet you might consider a Z71 Chevrolet pickup instead. We have towed our Avalanche at least 70k problem free miles. You just shift the transfer case into neutral per the instructions, release the emergency brake and shift into park. Then you lock the doors and take the key with you (it has a transmission lock, no steering lock). No mileage registers and the battery does not run down. It tows as well as our old Jeep Wrangler did.
