You guys have me thinking now about the bias tires. The guy bought these wheels and tires for a customer who bought a new Sunnybrooke 5th wheel and wanted aluminum wheels. The guy never come to get them. they are one year old and never hit the road.

Just get 16" LT tires and be done.

Great advice. Add to that to stay away from chinese tires and it's a sure thing.

I am getting rid of my 225/75r15 load e Carlisle tires and thinking of getting a set of 6 bolt hole aluminum trailer wheels with 235/80/16 bias load e. Any thoughts on using bias tires?

If you are a typical RV trailer user you may not put many miles on your trailer tires. It would make purchasing the bias tires very appealing. They have identical tire pressures/load capacities as their radial cousins of like sizes. They are also still found as OE on new trailers.

Here is a reference from a popular manufacturer with a very good customer feedback record.

Granted, these do not come in the size you are looking for. But the description and manufacturer should help build your confidence in the Bias design.

If these are the tires you just purchased, they are radial, not bias.
You still should have them balanced before putting them on your trailer.
