Like Skip, I have to lift the back of the TV to put on my bars or remove them. Can't imagine the hitch doing much good if there isn't that much tension.
I have a Bulldog 4000lb. with a 5 year warranty. Always hear good things about Barker and Ultra Fab has a reputation for great customer service.

I agree, weigth distribution bars should be put on and taken off without tension, by raising the vehicle with the ball hitch to have both the trailer front and the towing vehicle rear end raised. Bars go in and the trailer jack is lowered to allow vehicle and trailer to sit level and as one continuous towing structure.

Trying to put weight ditribution bars on by brut force is a good way for something to slip and someone to get hurt. Taking the bars off under the load of tension is a good way to break a wrist or something else.

Barker 3500. I went with the 24" lift since my TT lives on a
slanted driveway when not in use.

Alright folks, happy as a pig in poop.

I just bought a HD 3500 from an earlier post for 118.00 off ebay brand spankin new. Touch of my finger and i am not going to crank any more.

Now, who is HD 3500 and has anyone had any problems with theirs. Got so excited i bought one the spur of the moment. Free shipping. My wife gets so tired setting up the camper, jacks down, leveling, that this will leave more time for her to cook dinner...

I have a Barker 2500 for a 3500# trailer with a 300# tongue weight.
It's terrific; I would not go without one. No problems at all. Just watch the clearance of your truck or suv tailgate. You may need a ball-mount extension.....Dan
