Driving down to Mrytle Beach, SC and want to take 2 days to drive it. Looking for a quick access campground so we can hook up quickly for one night. Looking near the Rte 81 to near Rte 15. Any suggestions?
We liked Nascar Resorts at Endless Caverns They are well maintained and the staff is very accomodating. We went with a group last oct and couldn't have had a better time. Our group is going back this oct. There is also a the caverns on site if you have time to take a tour, it is completely worth it!!!!
They are located between Harrisonburg and Winchester, exit 257 off of 81. (about 5 1/2 miles from the interstate). It is pretty much straight up hwy 11 for about 4 mi and then 1 1/2 mi up endless caverns rd to get to campground. Very easy and pretty drive.

campsites are built on a hillside but the sites themselves are actually very level.
Hi, we love to camp at Shenandoah Valley Campground. It is 3 miles off of I-81 in Staunton (Veronia is the actual town name). It is a family run campground, is very clean and well maintained. It even has a waterfall on the property. They have all the usual amminities and it is close to Waynesboro, Staunton, and Harisonburg. All 3 cities have plenty of shopping, reasturants, museums, and antique stores. If you head to Dayton (in Harrisonburg) you will also find two very nice Farmers Markets that are run by the Mennonites. You may even see some of the Old Order Mennonites in their horse and buggies. Hope you enjoy your time in Va and have a blast in Myrtle Beach (we love it down there)!

Fort Chiswell RV park is conveniently located off of I-77 and I-81. Just 3/10 of a mile off interstate 81. Get off exit 80 and take 52 south look for the park on the left hand side.
