as a nation? A lot more natural disasters, people out of work and can't find jobs, more people stealing, more people killing other people.
I realize that the U.S.A. is still a good country to live in but it's looking grimmer and grimmer every day.

Pretty much every generation thinks they have it harder than the last. It's no worse now than it has been in the past. Heck, we are not on the verge of nuclear war like we were in the early 60's. That has to count for something.

IF the USA is looking bad........what do you think it is/will be like in other countries?

Having traveled in various countries, I'm thankful everyday that I just happened to be born here.
With all it's ills/politicians-idiocy and problems it's still a GREAT Nation!

Problems....you bet
Idiots in charge....you bet
'WE' still have the means of curing/solving some of the problems.......VOTE. Exercise that right!

It only looks grimmer and grimmer if you haven't really looked back several generations. Not realizing how bad the past could be makes the present look worse. And looking at the past through rose colored glasses makes the present even worse.

Look deeply into the past of a hundred, two hundred, or more years ago and really compare the life, and life expectancy of the average working person.

We have it super good comparatively speaking.

People are very good at forgetting past bad incidents. So the past looks better and better the older we get.

What you see and hear is what the news media tells you.
The news media follows death and mayhem as diligently as I do grabbing Hershey's kisses at a candy store.
There are good stories out there, they just aren't "good news stories."

Why do people pay to go up tall buildings and then put money in binoculars to look at things on the ground?

So make it a better place. Look at all the positives and try to bring the best out of people. When people look for the worst, they will find it.

Man has always been man and will continue to be so.
TV and the Media make they're living keep you entertained with both good and bad, but BAD sell better and the THREAT of bad sells even better.

It used to be said in the News Media that "If it bleeds, it leads" and we all prove that it works.

Don't believe everything you hear from the Media, even if they say it's true.
