Can I pull it with my truck? Have a 06' Chev 3500, Dually, Crew cab Duramax/Allsion with two wheel drive. Looking at a unit that's 37' and weigh's in at 14,250 empty, with a 2,250 pin wt.
Too much truck? Too much trailer? Good Match? HELP!

Do you really need that much room or want to be towing and parking 37 ft of trailer/5th wheel???
Or is the one you are just looking at it beause you found it by chance???
After you load up this 5th wheel you will be towing
Around 16k to 17 k lbs!! You would be in the "big dog" category! Any 5 th wheel will work for you if it meets all your needs:-)

There's a 'quote' link in the upper-right corner of every post. Much easier to select that than to copy-paste, so that everyone knows what is your text and what you are 'quoting'.

What is the actual GVW of the 5er your looking at? 14,250# empty is about the same as my 5er's "empty weight", and mine has a GVW of 16,900#....but last scaled at 15,300#, loaded. I have a pin weight of 3100#.....

I had an 07.5 Chevy 3500Dually/CC/LB/4X4.....the GVWR of the truck is 11,400#....I pushed over my GVWR some with this 5er and the Chevy....the Dodge has 12,200# GVW and 1,000# more GCWR (4:10 rear end).

If you load your 5er like I do, I believe you'll be ok, may exceed your trucks GVWR, but not it's RAWR and you may be right at your trucks GCWR of 23,500#...but again, the 07.5 had a little more HP and TQ than the 06 if I remember correctly...not much, but some.

Again, what is the GVWR of the 5er your looking at? If it's over 17,000# and upward, you've gotten too heavy, especially if you load it up...

Please explain the thought process behind that statement. Trucking companies would go bankrupt, if they had to buy new trucks every three years.

Yes, you should never tow with a truck over 3 years old.

WOW I didn't know that
Thanks guys for the warning
I think you have a pretty good match OP. Isn't that a LBZ engine in your truck? If so its one of the best diesel engines made.

Ok, The real pin weight shoud be around 3,000lbs,You just need find the real carry capacity and make sure you have enough left over for the pin weight. Check what the sticker says the Carry capacity of the truck is then weigh the truck ready to tow, subtract that number from the GVWr of the TRUCK and you will have what is left for pin weight... My guess is you will be OK...But not sure.

well that's different, originally you stated "dry weight" or "empty" weight was 14,250#, but if in reality the GVW of the 5er is only 14,250#....as some one else stated...hook up and go, your truck will handle it no problem.....

dry pin weight is a joke also....figure possibly 20% of the GVW of the 5er, more like 2800# or so...again, shouldn't be a problem....I towed heavier with an 05 LLY and the 07.5 was the LBZ
