This sounds pathetic, but we recently purchased a 2012 Four Winds Class C. We are getting ready to make our first "shake down" trip to make sure everything is working properly. DH wants to check the tire pressure. We bought a long double sided air pressure gauge so we can reach all the wheels, but the way the wheels are made, we cannot even get our fingers in there to unscrew the caps! Anybody got any suggestions? I cannot believe they even make something like this that you cannot even get to to check your tire pressure!

Same problem on my class C. Have to trust shops where I get oil changes to check the rear tires. Thinking of investing in a tire valve extension system of some kind. I'll be interested in your responses.

METAL valve stem extensions have been installed by many of us. I didn't yell! The metal ones are less prone to leaking. Good luck.

Short length (maybe 4 - 6 inches long)of plastic or rubber hose that slips tightly over the valve stem cap. Even though my caps are accessible, It's tight on the fronts and I have dropped a cap behind the wheel liner/cover and have to remove it to get the valve cap.
3/8" ID (Inside diameter) of clear PVC tubing is what I use.

How come nobody recommended metal valve stems? For about $135 or less you can get chrome extended stems for all 6 wheels and check the tires with ease in maybe a minute or so, but shop around. I have them for a couple of months but I'm waiting for gas prices to go down before I buy new tires. Maybe next year?

One very easy aid is the Alligator V2B valve stem cap. You don't have to take it off to air up/check the tire. I have them on my ribber stems until I get new tires and put solid extensions on and will cap them with the same. Google it.
I have them on solid extensions on my Chinook. Love them.
