We have been looking hard at the Tiffin product as well, so the TRVN has been a real find. The real question I have (and others too?) is: did you stay under your 200K budget? It's sometimes really hard to set a figure and not go over once you start looking serious at coaches. New is always nice. Congrats on the new coach. We really like that model as well but the dollars are just a bit more than we want to spend.
We took delivery of the 2012 Phaeton 36QSH on the 9th. After 6 days at the dealer transferring our stuff, getting the US Gear Brake transferred and then getting the new one installed after they miss wired and burned out the original we headed for our home base. We are waiting for a new dryer since the original doesn't get up to temperature and the Theater Sound system doesn't work correctly so that is to be replaced as well. All trivial in reality and we are very happy.
Will have to store it for a few weeks while other parts of life go on. Then we will get on the road for some serious shakedown trips.
PDI could have picked up the failures not to mention the burned out bulbs and shorted light fixture before we arrived. We got to most everything as we were taking delivery and the dealer Colton RV in Niagara Falls never questioned any of our requests. The salesman, Ron Pingery, stayed with us right up to our departure even while making a sale a day. He delivered Bagels and coffee/tea to the door several times when he arrived for his sales meeting. I highly recommend talking to him if you are looking for new or used in the area. They also appear to do a lot of business with Canadian buyers. We saw several in there while we were there.
Sure hope you enjoy your new coach. Nice of the sales dude to keep up with you.
However, what I hear you say, is that you are doing their (and Tiffens) job on final QC. I would look the dealerships management in the eye, and let them know they fumbled. Waste of your time, and money for fuel when you go back.
Sure, complicated rigs, and stuff happens. But this 'stuff' should have been caught pre delivery and walk thru by you.
