FUEL comes to mind. It is smart to consider the cost of such an investment. On the other side of the coin how do you measure the fun, adventure and great memories? Not in dollars so ?

1st I'll tell you our usage - 60-70 nights/year weekender style. 3500 miles per year + occasional longer year multi day trips
1.Insurance for MH annually ~$1800
2.Yearly maint - ~400 or less, oil changes and "check ups" at a Ford dealer are ~$150 1x year
3.What is daily fee for mid/high level campground. - ~$30-45/night
4 Equipment to tow toad - ~$3000 for bars/mounts/ and high end supplemental braking including all installed professionally.
5 Fuel(yes I know on Basis of usage, what's yours?) ~$2500-$3000/year
6 Storage in an enclosed very secure warehouse in some of the most expensive real estate in the World - $560/ month but I sub lease ~$250 of that out to seasonal boat owners and classic cars/motorcycles
7 2nd set of tools ~$500
8 Sheets/dishes and other house stuff 1 time costs of $300-500
9 Motorhome kid crafts $200/year (probably less really)
10 misc cords, rubbermaid storage boxes for various stuff ~$200 if you're anal like me and want everything in it's place.
11 SurgeGuard $200-500 depending on 30 amp or 50 amp coach
12 higher pressure tire gauge $100
A lot of that can be bought over time too. Before we bought, when we were looking to buy, whenever we past a WalMart/Home Depot/SuperStore etc bin with sheets/towels/dishes etc that met our needs we grabbed them. Only downside is we scored and amazing deal on a complete set of towels that were/are a very nice blue but we have a brown/tan/green interior. We now have nice blue guest towels and tan towels for the MH
2008 Itasca Sunova 35J Class A
1997 TJ Sahara, hard and soft tops and AC
Held together via Roadmaster Falcon 2 tow bar and stopped by US Gear Unified Brake system.
Travel BBQ - $49 every two years at costco for the el cheapo ones
camp chairs $10/chair ours are lasting 4-5 years with kids
1lb propane bottles for above BBQ - $5/six pack couple times per year
Wine ~$30/bottle variable consumption, depending on how bad my week was and the drive there
*however* every single penny is worth it when my kids see something they'd never see at home while on a family hike with Mom and Dad. Salmon coming from the sea into a river, a huge dam and electrical generating station, Orca whales and dolphins breaching, new cities and climactic zones and so on. Not to mention the stress release I get when backed into an amazing site overlooking a lake in the middle of summer, above mentioned wine in appropriate glass while sitting in aforementioned camp chairs and the sun is setting.......
I'll give it a try, but a lot of expenses are variable in nature and depend on what type of owner you are and how you use it.
Insurance- $1000 should give you a reasonable ballpark, assuming a 40 ft mid-level diesel pusher.
Maintenance- Will depend on how much you use it, gas versus diesel and how much of the work you can do versus a repair shop. I don't see spending less than $1000.
Campgrounds can range from $20 per night and go well over $100 per night. Discount clubs are available to join. Given your forum name, a night at Disney World's Fort Wilderness Campground will run upwards of $125 per night for a premium spot during the busier season.
A high quality soup to nuts, new tow package, which includes brake assist, can cost several thousand, no problem.
Fuel is dependent on a number of obvious factors, but most 40 ft MH's are going to get better than 10 miles per gallon, and most likely around 8 if you are pulling a toad.
Storage costs will depend on how and where. You can spend nothing by putting it in your driveway, or you can spend $300 per month for indoor, climate controlled, 50 amp facility.
$200 per month will get you a covered, full service, secured parking facility.
Clubs and Associations- If joining the various owner's club, camping groups, RV associations, etc is something you would do, you'll have no problem spending several hundreds of dollars each year.
Getting the basic equipment and gear to properly outfit the unit will certainly be another couple of
thousand, no problem
Hope this helps.
