I plan on ordering my RV from Nexus later this year and I would like some feedback on what everyone thinks about ordering the Auto Leveling Jacks. Not sure if it's really necessary especially at $2900. Thanks for all your suggestions.

Oh heck yeah they are necessary.
Pull up to your camp spot in the pouring rain, mash a button-DONE!

I installed the Big Hoof jacks on mine. Works well.

They seem to be one of those things that you don't need until you have had them. We've never had them. As you have noted they are rather expensive and add a fair amount of weight which many mh don't have to spare.

Had them put on our 2001 DESIGNER and it was, I think, the best investment we ever made. If you do buy them definitely go with BIG FOOT. Customer services is outstanding compared to POWER GEAR which is non existent.

Not sure where you live but if not too far (days drive) from White Pigeon, MI you can have them put on at the factory. They even have a parking space w/elec so you can get there the night before and they should have you out in about 3 hours.

We're pondering the $3000 cost to add the Bigfoot system to our unit. We'll wait until after this camping season to see how much we would have needed them.

I had BIGFOOT installed on my 31 foot NEXUS - everything I've read or reasearched led me to that decision. Not only does it level the unit it gives it a trmendous amount of stability - other wise you will get some bouncing/swaying of the RV. Like TPMS - don't leave home without it IMHO.

Also very importaant for the function of the slideout - ie: leveling before putting the slide out - out :>)

Otherwise you will be carrying blocks, 2x8's etc etc and cursing every UNlevel moment of the trip - IMHO

Installed them on our 2001 Class C and it was the best decision we ever made. I would not buy a coach without them.

Pull into your site, push a button and you are level and stable without ever having to go outside your rv, couldn't be faster or easier, well worth the investment.
