Sadly, haven't been out west yet, but here Acadia and I love the White Mountains National Forest.

I never imagined Big Bend would be so high on the favorite list. We are planning on visiting it later in May. Especially looking forward to it now.

Let us know what you think of it when you finish your visit. It is #1 on our list.

Big Bend is a long way from anything - but maybe that is what you want.

Nothing is a long way for us. Since 2007 if you look at all of our combinded 90,000 mile of routes back & forth across the country it would look like some deranged spider has woven his web with no particular center point except for a couple of convergences in MD & Denver.

Just getting started on RV traveling in our Class C. Last summer we visited Carlsbad Caverns, Yellowstone, Grand Canyon, Mesa Verde, Grand Tetons, Mt Rushmore, Wind Cave National Park, and many national monuments also. Our favorite of all is Yellowstone. Absolutely beautiful. They were all worth seeing though. Next trip we will take the Natchez Trace and also visit Great Smokey Mt Natl Park and also Shenandoah Natl Park, taking the Blue Ridge Parkway. I can't wait!
