Over 90% (my non scientific guess) of vehical lighting issues are ground related. I had the same problem with my lance 815. Worked for a few years then one spring no lights. I ran a physical heavy gauge ground from the truck frame to the camper buss under the sink with a disconect behing the rear window. I have not had a lighting issue since.

Ditto on the ground issue. It's amazing what weird things happen when not properly grounded. I too ran a separate ground wire from the truck frame directly to the ground wire from the camper. Now nothing pulses and lights are very bright, etc. Good luck!

So just to clarify.. The Hazard lights and turn signals dont work unless the key is on? Will they work on the truck alone without the key on? I dont think the turn signals will work on my truck unless the key is on. The hazards should work 24x7. Will the turn signals work at the camper / trailer connection on the truck with the key off?
lancealot wrote: ok went to my plugs again on the truck i have checked with a test light and a multimeter, every thing works when it is supposed to and when it is not supossed to,also i have power on the running lights wire before the fuse box(checked all of the other wires too)so i am not sure that it would be the lance plug? the part that really has me scratching my head is why my hazards work on the truck but they wont work on the camper until i turn on the key then hazards and turn signals work on camper. i did google and did a search before i asked here also did a search on the forum before i asked. thanks for the link i will keep reading and also figure out how to check my ground.
it sounds like a ground issue and when you turn on the key your power up the trailer harness and causing it to ground out thus working check to see if your truck's common ground to the seven pin connector is intact
