Thanks. But I wanted a permanent wiring. Guess I could have been more specific.

Simply move the battery cable going to the generator, from the terminal on the aux battery disconnect, to the large terminal on the chassis battery disconnect. The disconnect solenoids are behind the circuit board inside the BCC.

Not a wise move in my opinion.

I had low voltage issues with my wireless router and Nano station 2 when starting my generator. I moved the cable like OnaQuest suggested. The cable move has not caused any other issues for me.

Mine has always started from the chassis battery. Never had a problem. You do need to realize that it will then also run from that battery so the minor current it draws will come from that battery as well most likely.

I had a diffent coach that started the generator from the house batteries and I did not like that arrangement.

On both of my MHs, I changed the generator to start from the chassis battery rather than the house batteries. Much better setup, IMO. If I run my house batteries dead while camping, I can always easily start the generator to charge them up. If it is hooked up to the house batteries, then I must first start the coach, let it run for a bit to charge the house batteries, then finally start the generator. PITA. Although I admit that I seldom run my generator for long periods, so the minor amount of current that it draws while running is not an issue for me.

I think that is a good Idea, if you stop and think about it, I had thought of the same thing or adding an additional battery. Starting from the house batteries can be a problem because if you are dry camping and the batteries are low(need charging) on my coach you do have to use the boost switch to start the Gen.,(actually using power from the chassis batteries anyway), and also when you are using the generator you will have the inverter operating and it will re-charge the chassis batteries along with the house batteries, or like said you can use the boost switch to start the engine. My Auto-start will not start the Generator when I have the house batteries set below 12.8volts, not enough juice there. My Opinion only. Marvin
