Hi, I'm sorry my post was confusing. I said it confusing and complicated. Please try not to give me too hard of a time. I am going through a lot here. I'm afraid this is going to result in a horrible financial mess for me and I'm raising my two grandsons.
I "sold" my RV to a very nice lady named
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
California Drivers License xxxxxxxxxxx
she has a PO box listed on her drivers license
Anyway here is the deal - I know stupid - so I beat myself up already and am ready for a trip to the mental establishment over this.
I just couldn't afford the RV any longer. I bought it to take my mom and a once of a lifetime trip. We did that. Last year my mom died and I have recently needed to step in to raise my grandsons.
Tamara called and wanted to take over the payments - she talked me into keeping it in my name and her paying me - me paying the credit union. It didn't take long for me to realize the mistake. Immediately parking tickets etc not paid. She didn't pay registration. All that cost me almost 2K. So she also quit making payments and disappeared. As noted the credit union has looked in Ca. Nv. Az for her also a skip trace company in Texas. I cancelled my insurance at the request of the credit union on the last day they could receive an insurance payment for it from their own insurance. I don't know if that was stupid or not. I believe in people too much. So I'm about to be in a big financial mess over this. I don't have the 40K to make it right.
My RV is pictured on my pics here. The license is 4RUN726 - California. It is blue and white, with one slideout. WAS in really nice condition. VIN is 4VZEM7191XCO32835.
My name is Renee - email is renee0@wildblue.net. I am happy to give more information privately. I hate having to do this on the internet but she has so screwed me and I am out of options.
The skip trace people put flyers on her parents garage in Las Vegas several months ago trying to get her to return the RV. That is the last I heard from her, of course she was super mad.
So this is all on the up and up, I'm just a lady trying to get through all this without losing everything along with my mind.
Keep your eyes open, I can send anyone more pics. Any help is so appreciated.

Okey, doke, Renee! I'll write the license number down and keep my eyes open. That was a Rexhall, correct? Year? Model?

I see it in the other thread:

Hi, it's Rexhall, (Rexair) 2000, Model Anthem, Body is 3250.
She is driving it around unregistered, or perhaps she has switched plates or somehow gotten a sticker for the license plate. Who knows? Not me.

Thanks so much for the extra eyes, ears, prayers.

Wondering how this will play out when essentially you sub-let it to someone else. Bank won't like that neither will insurance co. Not sure about anywhere else but it's not legal in MD to have a PO box on a driver's license. Fake? Is that really her name? You been swindled, bamboozled, and taken for a ride.

Oops, I'm wrong about the license it does have an address.
This is the ending of the "play-out". That is why I'm desperate. The bank did get their money on it, their insurance paid. That is why I had to cancel my insurance. I don't know if that was a good move or not. Now their insurance company wants the money. That is one of two places after me for it. Them and then a collection agency from the credit union that wants the money that was over and above what the insurance paid. This is a disaster, I need to find that darn RV before I lose everything!!
Swindled, bamboozled and taken for a ride. YUP that's me. You'd think that after retirement (just retired) life would be good. Not so, right now.

You need legal help. The insurance paid the bank for a reason, Was that because they considered the MH stolen? What are the rights of the insurance to recoup from you. You did not have a relationship with the banks insurance. Unless you already have it, you need more info and the way to do that would be through legal representation, unless you know the CA code enough to wade through the insurance claims. What claim does the insurance have on you?

I am sure you thought you were doing the right thing. However, like I always tell my wife ~ no good deed goes unpunished.

well you are in a fix for sure. Sorry to hear that. I think going to court and getting a judgement is the way to start. Once you have the court in agreement then law inforcement can get involved. At least a quick chat with a legal pro should get you headed in a better direction.
If she has no paper work transfering ownership to her then perhaps the report it stolen avenue may work.
You are bound to get many responses as to this is what I would do but make sure that whatever you do you don't dig yourself into a deeper hole.
We can keep an eye out but unless we come across it in a camp setting it may be by us before we can check it out.
