If you can, check vin number. The 10th digit indicates the year of chassis....if 10th digit indicates 2010 chassis on a 2011 model maybe you can get even a better deal. Vin number info can be looked up on Internet. I think an 'A' in 10th position is a 2010, a 'B' in 10th position is a 2011 and so on.
Mine listed for $99k and the dealer was advertising it for $70 during the correct model year. If it was a year old listing for $108, there is no reason they cannot get below $80. Plus, points have been made by others about the engine sitting around for two years, plus the tires are aging. I would inspect them for cracks right now since they probably do not cover them up. Engine oil should be changed at a minimum of once per year even if it as been sitting. People on here think it is a joke to lowball the dealer by asking in the $70's, but I am dead serious. Personally I would be asking in the VERY low $70's. You made two offers on it already, so they know you are serious. Give them your number and tell them to call you when they are ready to get rid of it and walk away. I know the dealer paid taxes and flooring costs, etc., but every day that passes will make it even harder to move an older model year even if it is new. Also, your depreciation will hit you that much harder when you buy it since it will be considered close to a TWO year old unit according to blue book when you drive it off.

I'm with MLH on this one. They should be willing to go significantly beyond 25% off MSRP on a rig that is soon to be 2 years old.
If this guy won't play ball get a build sheet from Lewis RV in Ohio for a new unit and do a factory order to your spec on a new one. I am betting their price is very close if not better than what this guy wants for an old one. Everybody has good things to say about Lewis. Small low overhead family run outfit with prices that beat Lichtsinn when I was shopping. I didn't buy from them in the end but was about to.

A decent deal, not a great one but we're ready to camp!!
Hey triple602,
Congrats on the new Winny. If you got it for anywhere near the 84k otd price than you did great (winny dealers usually hang around 26% off msrp). I custom ordered my Itasca in Feb of last year and it was delivered in May. It has a 2011 chassis, a 2011 engine, and a 2011 house. Our local dealer had told us that when you custom order you get all new product. If a dealer orders to fill out lot stock then you could wind up with older components on a new unit. Enjoy, Winnebago makes a great product.
