I think that this vehicle could be the basis for the Class B that we all will need when the zombie apocalypse arrives.

I don't see why the rear wouldn't have room for a bunk and a porti-potti... thus making it a perfectly good B.

I love watching Top Gear, they do the craziest things with vehicles.

A Lot of this technology was developed during the "Bush Wars" in Southern Africa in the 1980's. Fighting in Angola and Nambia refined this type of technology for the South African forces. You now see the same companies (as part of BAE Defense)making similar vehicles for US and Nato forces in Iraq and Afghanistan.

That's cool!

Looks like it must be related to the MRAP that my kid drives in the Army.

Aside from being super top heavy and prone to rolling over yes it's a perfect zombie vehicle. Pair that with a trailer and an enclosed access tunnel to the trailer and you could have yourself quite a nice get-away.

Wider axles off of a 5 ton would probably suffice to help with the top heavy design.

"Looks like it must be related to the MRAP that my kid drives in the Army."

As RobertRyan mentioned, the MRAPs are directly descended from the vehicles developed during the long conflicts in Rhodesia and South Africa:

MRAP

South Africa Border War

Rhodesian Bush War
