Sooooo, what will we talk about here?
Actually, I'll start with this: I really hope I never have to use it.
With gas $ going to who knows where, I may have a permanent camping spot in my driveway.
Aw, just kidding. We'll get out there, but still, I hope I never need to call ya'll.

"Ask Marcus if you have questions regarding Good Sam Roadside Assistance."

Seems like the intent of the forum is very plain, so...
Asking an actual question might be a start...

I only had to use it once but man was I glad I had it. I'd never be without it and it was so easy. Made a call, they showed up, dropped off the rig, no bill.

Glad you started this one.

I have been a member for one year and now it is up for renewal, wondering whether to renew, never used it.

I have always had CAA RV Plus (like AAA) since 2005, never used that either.

I would like to read other postings on this thread's topic too!

I tried to use it once without success. They left me stranded on I405 in the middle of rush hour. Never even got to talk with a dispatcher...was on hold for 20 minutes...finally the State Patrol called us a tow. It arrived in 10 minutes. Out of pocket was $150. We cancelled the GS ERS. That was two years ago...thinking about getting another ERS policy but not sure where!

I have never been towed but have used it several times for flat times. If you break down without a road service company it is up to you to find a tow company that can help you and at whatever cost they want to charge you. Think about it.

First of all there is a big difference between GS and AAA. Please remember that when crossing state lines often times the dispatch provider can change. Allstate has been with us for about 2 years now and what a world of difference. As for SH, if we left you stranded that just simply is not acceptable. If you had GS and we left you hanging and you had out of pocket expense we should have reimbursed you. Please email me the details of that so that we can look into including your first and last name. If you need a policy I will comp you for one year for your hassle.

Lastly, the purpose of this is to start an
'd open dialogue about anything roadside. This is not anything other than me trying to learn more and get better

I don't know if this is possible, but might be worth looking into ...

I suspect many RVers have a spare tire, but may not check the air pressure until the tire is needed. Is it possible for the service trucks to carry an air tank or compressor?

Yes, I know from first hand experience, and now carry my own compressor.

Good point. I just went out and checked my spare and topped it off. Hadn't even thought about it before. (My bad)
Thanks

This complaint is regarding the abysmal service in getting the correct cards for my wife and I. I renewed last October for 3 years and received the new cards in February. I requested a card for my new wife as my wife had died 5 years earlier. I was promised 3 week delivery of the card with my new wife's name and still have not received it. It is not that difficult to integrate your database on the computer these days. Your actual roadside service has been good, but enough is enough.
