Just wondering from people who own a 2012 Berkshire what they think of them? Good or bad. Would you recommend buying one to your friends? Is it worth the upgrade from a newer Class A gasser?

You get a great bang for your buck with the Berkshire. Very pleased with mine and yes, I would recommend it to my friends. If you want a diesel pusher, this would be a very good choice. You might also want to take a look at this site. Scroll down to the Berkshire section.

The only thing I would question is that they have put the very small Cummins 6.7L in it. 660 ft/lbs of torque is not much for 26k of weight.

Another happy Berkshire owner here. Two years and no major issues. Good support from both the factory on warranty issues and the dealer. Very pleased with the product and the company.

I got a price today from a dealer 6 hours from my house on a 2012 Berkshire 390BH for $168,500 which is a little higher than I thought. Wish I bought one 6 months ago when I was quoted $149,000 for the same unit. A class A gasser is starting to look good. Wonder what the price will be in another 6 months to a year.

I'd be surprised if you can't still get it for under $150k for the 390BH-40 (I think the 390BH-60 adds another $10-$12k) although I haven't priced one out recently. Check with www.rvdirect.com - I believe they have competitive prices which they'll happily email you or tell you over the phone.
- update -
Requested a quote this morning because I was curious. They have a couple of 390BH40 in stocks with a few options and they are $157 and 159k, you might be able to get another $5k off with less options but that still probably leave you over $150k.

I think the original poster has set his sites on a Tiffin based on his most recent posts. He is actually relatively close to RV Direct's Albany facility, but as the expression goes, you make your choices and pay your money. As Michelb has stated you can get a Berk for just over $150 from RV Direct. Great dealer from our experience here in Buffalo.
