Thanks for your post. I totally agree with you that price should not be the primary consideration when looking for RV insurance. When you buy insurance you are buying the promise of a company to be there for you when you need them. Having the right protection and dealing with a reputable company are very important considerations when looking for insurance.
Regarding your TT, Good Sam does represent companies that offer "Full Replacement Cost" coverage for RVs. This is a feature that isn't available from companies that don't specialize in RVs.Some RVs may not qualify for Replacement Cost coverage due to the age of the RV. We also represent companies that offer "Agreed Value" coverage for RVs that are too old to qualify for Replacement Cost. Give us a call at 888-772-1175 and one of our agents will be glad to discuss options to fit your individual needs.

I did call your folks regarding Full Replacement Coverage. I was told that though it is available it is not available in all states......unfortunately it is not available to me in North Carolina. It ia also not available to me through my current insurer so I will need to do further shopping.

The Good Sam Insurance Agency is "technically" an agent. We will look like many other independent agents that represent multiple carriers. We will quote all the companies we represent that will provide a quality policy for your situation, and then you choose which company's product, price and value is best for you.
Our job is to make sure you have the right protection at the best value we can find. We look forward to doing some "homework" for you when you are ready to compare.
I will post when the agency is ready to launch. Thanks again for your interest.
BFulcher,
When I check the GS website the only RV & Auto quote they have given me is thru GMAC Ins Which I currently have Ins with & have had for a while.
I got another quote from a RV friendly Ins Co who quoted me a price of $670 for the Year on my Motor Home and GMAC quoted me almost that for 6 months!
They were for the same quote except Allied also included Diminishing delectable, Towing Labor and Emergency Expense. (although we have GS ERS)
A difference of over $500 for the year is quite a bit different!

1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee (goes where it's "towed" to)
Thanks for the posting and information. As of today, the only company we can quote online is GMACI. As an agency, we do represent several other RV specialty insurance companies, including Allied. Our goal is to make sure RVers get the proper insurance protection at a good price. With the Allied policy, it looks like you are definitely getting a good value. If at anytime, you would like us to compare against our other companies, please give us a call at 888-772-1175 and we would be happy to run a comparison.
I just got the renewal on my policy for MH. Much to my surprise rate did not change. This is with a $6,000.00 claim from a breakin too. I was really worried I was going to have to go shopping for a new policy this year. Kudos to GMAC Good Sam. BTW-I pay full year at one time and have $1,000.00 deductible. Don't know if that matters or not. Just I thought I would throw that out there.
Another note - A GMAC representative called me yesterday to make sure I had received my packet. Much to my surprise she told me things about my policy I had no idea. Explained the additional discounts I could receive, explained the process of having MH instorage for long periods and such. Actually ended up saving some more money. I just want to say great job GMAC.
